I started my concert days with Elton John in the 70s and I had to end with him, I will always keep him in my heart he is such a fabulous person to see and I will miss his concerts, just glad I kept my VIP ticket and I will never forget my evening there. Love you always Elton and wish him a long life. xxx

@Bruh-dv3tl A4 is the A directly above Middle C, used for tuning (“A 440”). A5 is an octave higher, that’s the note we’re talking about. It’s an A5

I was there on the 5th, much higher up unfortunately - you could almost see me when he went off walking at the end. Great video. I have my own up but this does let me see what it was like down at the front!

I truly hated the mix on the piano for the Farewell tour. There was not enough of the Motif PowerGrand present, which resulted in a serious loss of definition and presence in the mid-ranges. It just sounds tinny and hallow. I go back to concert clips from 2010-2015, it's just a completely different mix on the MIDIs. Listen to this by comparison... kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYO1qJpmhamMrqM

It’s more of a guitar song than piano. Nigel Olson looking a little long in the tooth here lol. The drums need to be faster.

@@RJS1974 oh totally get that, but we should still hear the piano. If you look at a clip from say 2014-2015, it’s much more prominent. That’s all I’m getting at.

I bet Elton when this tour ends, Elton will do a residency at the O2 performing once a month throughout the year and augment that with some stadium shows in the warmer weather around Europe for a total of 20 plus shows per year - this is what Billy Joel has been doing for years - so no more grind of long tours and all the travel that comes with it - it works for Billy keeping him musically active f - and i believe Elton will do the same.
