He said a good job covering the band, and he’s done it with Elegance and grace. Mick has his own sound and we all love that. We are so proud of John five for how he has kept the level where it is with what we expect from our boys. There is no substitute for Mick… With John five is the only one that can ever come close. I love them both. Mötley Crüe forever… I don’t give a fuck what it takes. Hit play on your playlist, throw down the LP and drop the needle. Slide the disc in or pop in the cassette… Mötley Crüe blows the roof off of any arena, more so than any other band I’ve ever heard. They are my all-time favorite… Sorry, KISS but… That’s just the way it is guys. Sorry Peter Frampton but they’re the best. You don’t have to agree with me, but I put that shit in and ripped the fucking knob off right after I crank it all the way up and my neighbors hate it… Who gives a fuck Mötley Crüe forever?

This is a majorly unfair comparison. There is a 20 year difference. John 5 is one of the best studio guitarists in rock and only one of them has full body function. It’s does say a lot about him that 5 always respects what was done before him in these groups

Mick hands down. But not taking away from J5 hes good but Mick is motley and wrote all them licks we love to hear from the crew.

John plays it closer to the albums recording where mick plays it each night how he feels that night. You can tell why John was hired as the touring guitarist. He can replicate what you remember on the song very well. With that said it’s micks solo it’s such a memorable solo and it doesn’t have that same nostalgia when anyone but mick is playing it. I hear mick it brings me back to that era and the video of them in unison doing that back and fourth motion. Watching it on MTV and that whole era of hair metal. John plays it and it sound great and it’s what you remember hearing on the album but it’s not mick and not the same feeling

John 5 looks a little bored with it.

Both are killer but mick play it with heart because he wrote the shit John just plays with a paycheck in mind because he'sa replacement but Mick can never be replaced 100%.Mick is the fucking Crüe.

Both are great, Thecnicaly, John5 ia more, is a great shreder guitarrist, can play rock, metal and others. John5 is a shredder and technical guitarist, very neat, very fast, and he plays Motley Crue's music very easily, as if he were resting.

I grew up on Mötley Crüe. And while Mick Mars is a great guitarist in all honesty, John 5 is a lot more talented.

Marty has a different attack angle. I never really zeroed in on it before.
