I saw them at the Scope in Norfolk Virginia around 1977 or 1978. Their opening act was Dr Hook & the Medicine Show. I was 16 or 17, and this was my first concert I ever went too. That was an awesome concert, they are the true care takers of the original Rock n Roll era. I did get to see Bowzer in the late 1990s at the Scope; he was the headliner for a rock n Roll show. I got to meet him afterwards and hit his autograph. He is very friendly and also very funny. Long Live Rock-n-Roll!!!!!

If Sha Na Na dumped everyone on that stage who didn't play an instrument they would have had themselves a heck of a band. Too much dead wood crowding that stage.

Jeez! Years on the internet without drawing comments?? OKAY, I'll post the first then! It happens that no other video is known to exist showing Lisa Sundstedt performing as a member of Sha Na Na. This is the only one, and that's startling to learn! You'll notice that she's a bit of capable -- to my mind the best of the several gals who appeared (only one at a time) as a Sha Na Na member starting after Bowzer was gone to the Hollywood Squares career the group had made possible for him. (We decided the girl in the group wasn't quite what the public wanted from us and returned to being all guys circa 1993.) Back to my comment... Lisa was a gifted and confident singer. 🤩 Probably easy to find on Facebook, she came to be primarily a stand-up comediene and to run a professional workshop for aspiring new ones in Hollywood.
