Damn. I was an hour into trauma work and while i was focusing on a deeply painful sensation in my lower back, out of nowhere "took a leap off of the precipice" came to my mind. I didn't even remember this song, like it wasn't even consciously registered. So i looked up precipice on spotify and thank god it showed up. Only when I played it did I recognize it. I had so many negative emotions attached to this song from when i was 10, it definitely pulled on my heartstrings. At the time I was told by everyone around me especially my dad I wouldn't amount to shit. i'd play it over and over and over i guess crying to it, resonating with all the words, but blocked it out until today. I remember when I thought I looked it up on youtube it would have like 500,000,000 views because in my 21 year old mind it must have been really popular for me to know it so well. I still don't remember all the context behind the song but it brought up crazy emotions and somehow I still know every single lyric to the song. It was a huge part of my life but I blocked it out until now. Trauma work is crazy. Thank you for your beautiful song. It really helped facilitate my healing during a difficult time <3

eLyrics C Classic Crime Lyrics Beautiful Darkside Lyrics / Total views: 1 time this week / Rating: 10/10 [3 votes] / Album: Phoenix / Original Release Date: 2012-08-14 / Genre: Rock / Song Duration: 4 min 37 sec CLASSIC CRIME Beautiful Darkside Lyrics The faster I find the bottom The sooner I turn it around It seems as though I forgot Just how far down That I can go in an instant And I can take you there And I can take all my friends and family and I won't care Cause I have the most reckless heart when I try I have the most beautiful darkside I need to find some meaning Something true to believe in Cause left to my own devices The Beautiful darkside wins The beautiful darkside wins Always one for a good time Always one for extremes Until the fabric of life starts tearing at the seams And I can never remember When it started to turn I just simply forget all of the things I've learned Cause I have the most reckless heart when I try I have the most beautiful darkside I need to find some meaning Something true to believe in Cause left to my own devices The Beautiful darkside wins The beautiful darkside wins Some day I will die (Have I just...) Could be today or tonight (...Wasted time?) The truth is I'm terrified Have I just wasted time? Wasted time Have I just wasted time? Cause I have the most reckless heart when I try I have the most beautiful darkside I need to find some meaning Something true to believe in I'm terrified of seeing The beautiful darkside win The beautiful darkside win

Hey Matthew, I just wanted to let you know, it’s not hopeless. Sometimes we need to be hopeless for a period of time for us to see God in action. A friend of mine said that God is preparing us as brides for when we finally get to heaven. I want you to know that your music hasn’t just been music to me, but God has used your music, the same magic you talk about to reach me. God has blessed you with your beautiful voice and band. That’s just a piece of his love. I know that His magic felt like a high, and it was. I’ve found myself actually getting high to feel it again. We gotta go through pain sometimes. It’s His tough love, but it’s a love that when He takes you to the end of, you’ll know that you aren’t alone. I know it may seem like people want nothing to do with God, and you have brothers in Christ that are hurting you. In this hurt, give up yourself. The world really does want Jesus deep down, but it’s just like you and me, our passions, what drives us, sometimes need to come through before we realize what we want our passion to be. And it’s a painful road believe me. Paul talks about how He does things he wished he didn’t do and can’t do the things he wished he could do. God knows that. God will use that. God loves that. In your searching, in your brokenness, in your doubt, in your frustration you will find God. Stop trying to stop something you know is coming just like that song. When you run from the thing you don’t want to be you become it. Stop running from it, realize you don’t want it; and just let God handle it. He loves you man and He’s in the pain right beside you. Do you know what pain a father would feel with his kid hurt. Oh man God just wants to pick you up and take you right now to live with Him. Unfortunately, the whole world is full of his kids. Therefore somewhat dividing our attention. We feel his love when we love others. Gods coming for you. He doesn’t stop. And I believe that that is his faithfulness people talk about but don’t understand. Keep your head up, there is a warm after the cold.

Lost sense, direction Nobody knows my name Confidence, correction Don't know how to play that game Straight line is quicker Straight line would make me fast I've burned my nose enough to know That straight lines never last Swallow your soul And drink from this life As you choke on your pride We all look elsewhere We all look elsewhere It's safer inside doors Nobody has to flee Broken vessel Passed the rocks and out to sea Waiting, wanting Mad with purpose Now we come to talk to one Who knows the answer to how Swallow your soul And drink from this life As you choke on your pride Don't waste your time if you've got it The tides are turning now You are not alone They gave you their worst and you bought it The lie has been exposed You are not alone Winter that comes quick in early September The rain clouds that washed me are what I remember The stones that I threw piled high like a mountain Which I had to climb before I reached the fountain If life is a riddle then riddle me this The blood tasted sweet as it passed by my lips Don't, don't waste your time Don't, don't waste your time Don't waste your time Don't waste your time if you've got it The tides are turning now You are not alone, liar, liar They gave you their worst and you bought it The lie has been exposed You are not alone
