Gorham is crazy active on the right days. You get everything headed north or south on h The Chester sub, plus everything exiting the Mount Vernon sub.

Cool catches and I don't film at Scot City all the time if its only that I have a chance to go down there and if you didn't know there's a port that uses old classical diesel locomotives like gp20s gp7 or 9s its really cool and the company name is "Semo Port Railroad" and there is even a U.S. Army high hood locomotive as well

Idid not understand this device is it walkie talkie or waht?
@hakeemsd70m Жыл бұрын
It's a scanner radio. It scans the airwaves for radio signals, but you cannot talk into it like a walkie talkie. Basically, it's a receiver only.

Hello nice video! would you say this train consistently looks like this? I am wondering if it picks up in dupo or drops off? and what time I could expect it around dupo. or what time It passes Chester I suppose
@MissouriSoutheastRailfan Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the 8 month long wait, (I dont really look in the comments) to answer your first question yes. Usally this train has 1 or 2 Mid DPU's answer 2: Yes it works Dupo, IL for about early morning till around 7:00 to 10:00 answer 3: i say 7:00-9:00 but it could be later, i saw it once around 12:00 but that was also due for some track work on the Springfield Sub answer 4: It usally passes Chester around 10:00 - 12:00 it usally go around 60 mph through Chester the only reason why it didnt go like that on that day was because of i believe some bridge work just south of me. There is a signal called Chester and the signal after that the line singles up to cross the bridge.

Absoutly! Sorry for the extremly late comment, (i dont read comments often) The Chester Sub gets between 30-40 trains a day. This is my dominat line i railfan now because of A: how close I am and B: How many trains this line gets compared to the Jefferson City Sub and the Desoto Sub.

Its used not often. But there is a shortline railroad there. That moves Hoppers to the UP/BNSF Ste Gen Yard.

So its active enough.
@B0lt83SR2 жыл бұрын
@@MissouriSoutheastRailfan it’s very active. 3 times a day they pass this crossing. They pick up ground Lime from the lime kiln and they ship it up north ( via BNSF River Sub) on Union Pacific gp38,s that they used to use for this job.

@@MissouriSoutheastRailfan I wouldn’t recommend coming too often because the trains are very scarce especially the BNSF line they come around 11:00 and also one around 3:30 About 6 come during the nighttime Should go west towards cape guirardo and stop at Scott City Mo. About 3 UP trains every hour. Just a few miles west of Cape G. The trains there exceed 50mph usually. 4 tracks I believe. Also some Norfolk Southern on the line
