Hi Nick, cheers hope you have a good Christmas and 2022 as well. The video is taken from the Matrix Awakens unreal 5 demo on the Xbox series X. You can fly around in a drone and explore the city. Also you can walk around and drive some of the cars. I'm not sure though if it is an actual city or a fictional one.

Interesting footage. Do you have any footage of the other bridge re-constructions. I remember Burton Road being done around the same time, followed by Wilmslow and Palatine Roads.
@klausnikski4 жыл бұрын
No I don't sorry. I think this was the only bridge re-construction that my Grandfather filmed.

This video brings back so many memories of the good old days of the Astle Park rally. Dad used to say "It's Astle Park Time" during the run-up and preparation of his Vintage pre-1940 car display. Back then Astle Park was run by enthusiasts for charity and it could have been a three-day event, it was so popular. Thank you for sharing these memories with us.

@klausnikski4 жыл бұрын
Sorry AG, I sold my bike in 2016 and I couldn't say which routes are still open now. A good place to start is Trailwise - The essential green lane route planning tool, with access to information on UK Byways and Unclassified roads. This can show you what is legal to ride near to you.

It looks very much like bits of this film are featured in "In side the steam train museum" ep. 2 currently on demand on channel 5 catch up. I hope your family have been suitably recompensed, Nick!
@klausnikski4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jack, yes parts of it were used in the Channel 5 show - In side the steam train museum. I was contacted by a producer of the series and I gave my permission for them to use what they wanted for free. My Grandfather's name is in the credits at the end.
@frankgradwell82744 жыл бұрын
Its not 70s though. I spotted LRV in our usual place by the arena so its 1980 earliest 1984 latest. Happy Days when the show was run by the Church Hall Committee and not privateers!
@jackhardman3334 жыл бұрын
It has to be after 1979, as that is the year that the restoration of New Mills Council Aveling roller was completed. The poster shows the date as 14/15 August, so the year is definitely 1982. I rarely wore a wristwatch, so the clip of my hand on the regulator of Maud Foster makes this an unusual capture!
@klausnikski4 жыл бұрын
You're probably right Frank. Like I wrote in the description I was not sure of the exact year. I guessed 1978 but we think maybe there were a few different years put together. My brother looks about 10 in the film so 1982 ish might be about right. I'll change the name of the video to show '80s. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed my Grandfather's film.

Hi, I help to run the social media channels for the Bala Lake Railway, and we’re hoping to run a “virtual gala” on Facebook in a few weeks time. I’ve just been looking through KZbin for ideas for content and found your excellent video. What a great record of the railway in the past. I was wondering if we could possibly use it as part of the virtual gala on Facebook? We would give you full credit of course. All the best, Ben

Hi wondering where did you get the un silenced pipe from as the link in the description doesn’t come up with anything. I have the resonated scorpion centre section on same backbox as yours. Wanting to make it a bit louder.
@klausnikski4 жыл бұрын
Hi, just checked that link and they must have stopped selling. I think it was through Roadrunner Motorsport as I remember it had their sticker in the packaging. However, I checked their site and they don't have that piece on sale at the moment. So I would suggest going to an exhaust fabricator and getting the centre section made for your car. The Scorpion one seemed to hang a bit low and would scrape on some speed bumps. You should get a better fit from a fabricator and sometimes they are cheaper than going off the shelf.
