Not sure why you would claim that they are more secure than traditional hardware. My boat is equipped with these and, the first time I took my boat out with the Bimini in the stowed position, the end caps pulled out of anchors and hit one of my passengers in the head. Traditional Bimini hardware has a through pin at the anchor and would never do this. Furthermore, I have been trying to find instructional videos or any tutorial on how to replace the pole end caps. There is a very large rivet that fastens them to the pole. I don’t think I am able to get that kind of rivet have a normal store. There are many, many videos on how to replace the TM rub rail, but not a single one and how to replace these caps. I’ve had my boat for two seasons and my hardware is all worn out and I can’t ride with the Bimini in the stowed position. When I try to articulate the Bimini, it often pops out of the anchors. I’ve gotten more marks on my boat from the end caps hitting the fiberglass than I care for. I want to replace my hardware, but nothing tells me how to do it. I even called Taco Marine and they don’t know how to do it either. I would never purchase this myself for my Bimini top. Very disappointed in this product.

Don't use it he taco Marine fasteners they were junk, the heads strip too easy. Go buy some good ones.

Big question ; how is the stainless steel insert bent to go around corners and bent horizontally? Is there a method or bending machine for this? I have 1 inch ss insert.

What do you do when you have no access from the inside of the boat to tighten the nut?

Can one of you guys tell me "why in the hell is taco rub rails are so dam expensive"? I been in manufacture all my life. This stuff is the easiest stuff to make/ manufacture. Just b/c it for a boat, taco is gouging the hell out off its customers.

Terrible install vid. You don’t show the captain struggling with getting that nut tight.

Using a Cad Cam system to engineer a hard top like this is a cool showcase of technological ability. However, it does not seem like a viable or affordable option for the average consumer who would be looking for a hard top similar in style.
