Beautiful scenes. Reminds me of walks with my "Opapa" in the Vienna woods in mid 50's. We lived on 175 Sieferinger Strasse and walked up to the woods. Not much has changed since then. Thanks for the visual tour!

Schoen hast du deine Eindruecke eingefangen . . . und , dass du sie mit uns geteilt hast, hat mich sehr gefreut. Wenn man, so wie ich, schon so lange in Canada lebt, und wahrscheinlich auch nie mehr nach Oesterreich zurueckkehren wird koennen, dann tut es der Seele gut, sich auf diese Weise verbunden zu fuehlen. Vielen Dank fuer den musikalischen Ausflug, in ein Land, in dem ich meine Wurzeln habe.

The zither version is nice but why did you drop your incredibly annoying and loud drums over the start of the music at the beginning? At least leave a half a second. Better yet, have a silent brand.

After. Living in Holland for two years. I regret not seeing. Austria.a favorite of my Hungarian friends. But at least I saw Germany and Paris. . Pity it's such s burning mess now. Say a prayer for them.

I finally did it! Although I had a hard time, I was able to search this wonderful channel. I'm really happy to hear this wonderful performance. Of course the image is also the best. In the LP record era more than 50 years ago, I often listened to "Tales from the Vienna Woods". At that time, the conductor was Hans Knappertsbusch and the performance of The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Of course, zither was played by Anton Karas. Wunderschöne Aufnahmen. Man hat ein bischen das Gefühl die Zeit ist stehengeblieben an diesen Orten und man ist ein bischen an das alte Österreich erinnert. Da wird's dem echten Österreicher warm ums Herz :)

+Sam M yes it is, it was actually called the jewish ghetto untill Emperor Leopold I dissolved the jews tore down their synagogue and build a christian church there, not to get to much detail lol, yes it is still a jewish quarter
