City stop and go driving will do this compared to my average of around 23 kWh/100 km. You can check out my charging logs on my last long EV road trip to the far north where I completed 11,200 km over a month of driving. Check out the website here. www.maryannselectricdrive.com/

Great video of a beautiful mountain drive Harvey. I especially loved the "half tunnel", the rock fall / avalanche deflectors. Brilliant Swiss engineering. You two also provided a nice commentary. Can you please add to the Video Description the "Route Number" of that lovely drive and from where to where along that mountain side highway? Foot for thought. Best wishes to you two.

I heard an interview on the radio where he described EVs working better in cold weather (winter), which is false. A CBC report Electric vehicles lose up to 30% range when temperatures dip below freezing, a study finds. This is why I distrust anyone involved with the Green agenda as they always mislead the truth.

Great to find this interview with Jim. My skiing life is intertwined with his name. His wife in 1966 was my instructor at Tod Mountain. In 5 days she taught me as a 16 yr beginner to become a "parallel" skier! 5 years later I was hired by Jim as an instructor at Whistler. I especially enjoyed the free ski times when Jim would take the young instructors out and show us off and also teach us some pointers👍. My skiing style style, after 53 years of skiing is still reminiscent of Jim's inimitable "hands-forward--upper body always facing the fall line" style of skiing😎

To be entirely honest it has been 56 years since she taught me and I have forgotten her first name. All I know is that she was Jim's wife at the time.@@GravInducedSleepTrac

Dignity Memorial website carries the obituary if you Google Glenn Chamberlain Mcconkey there are a few pics of her when she was fairly young! It's funny, she taught me to parallel as well in about 1978 when I was 10yo! Squaw Valley.

Hi from Ireland, I bought a second hand 55 Sportback s-line with a few nice extras. 90% of the time I’m just tipping around country roads with bad surfaces and full of potholes, so it’s perfect for that. Very comfortable car with tons of power and premium build quality. Tried IONITY recently and it charged at 130kw, nearly 60kw faster than the polestar 2 beside me. Love the fact it has the Quattro also, plus matrix lights

Hi there from VT. We have a lot of very steep and snow/icy roads. I have my Etron equipped with Blizzaks. For me downhill is the challenge. I have lost grip a few times using regen to slow the car. Still experimenting what is best to decelerate this beast in the snow on steep icy roads - any thoughts?

Yep! Now I know more about why I had such a hard time leaving Shane back in 82, it's definitely your side of the family that kept me from fleeing much sooner! 😉 It was about 78\79 when Glenn bought Thunderbird making her my dads boss! I was already enrolled in the Santa Cruz Gymnastics Academy, and shortly after Glenn enrolled Shane where we immediately hit it off and quickly became best friends! Being a year younger than me and so aggressively competitive and hilarious I simply couldn't ignore or fight back against being drawn in to the non stop adrenaline rush,⚡⚡ Needless to say it didn't take long and I was spending most of the Summers and chunks of time in the winter at the Chamberlain \ Mcconkey house in Aptos, and cabin at Donner. I was an only child divorced parents living with my Mom so this situation seemed to work at the time. Over the next 3 1\2 years we learned to type, did rafting, hiking, soccer, Martial arts, ( our gymnastics coach was also a black belt) video gammed wind surfing (Donner lake) water skiing (Lake Tahoe) and of course weeks of skiing in the winter! Oddly enough, I slept in the top bunk because mom claimed that Shane would sleep walk and didn't want him to fall off 😂 This worked out well for Shane giving him the ever present opportunity to ask me if I was asleep yet? while simultaneously giving The bottom of my mattress a good shove🤨 In 1982 Mom and I made our escape back to Kansas for my 8th grade year and High school in Emporia! I did well there got A's and won State diving my Junior and Senior year's second my Sophomore! I blame Shane in part for that success, he never gave me an inch, never let up🤕😂 Some tidbits you might not know, Glenn and Shane were on there way to a JO Junior Olympic competition in the North East, I believe New Hampshire or Vermont. On their way through Kansas Glenn calls me and we went out to lunch! I took Shane on the back of my motorcycle with following behind in the Mercedes, she was terrified😉! Also my father's name Leroy, and Glenn talked about how she had a live in groundskeeper/ servant growing up whose name was also Leroy🤯 Weird because my Dad is old school German farmer! Well, hate to cut it short, hope this filled in some gaps sir! Must say looking great, sounding great, and doing great! And kudos to the interviewer👍👍 Thanks Jim, Sincerely Zach🥹
