Tim, are you part of a local church? Would you like to join one? I've never grown in God's heart so much, being a Christian for 20 years, as I have in the last 3 years, being part of a living, loving, correcting, leading local church.... Get your views tempered by others in the body...

I do agree with his main point, God will put believers in a fellowship if at all possible, and he did quickly mention Jesus words, “ by this all will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” excellent…would love to see Jesus words emphasized “ Upon this rock I will build My church”

Ok, I don’t believe it’s true if I’m not properly connected to a local church, then I’m not connected to Christs body either, where’s that in scripture? Where do those in prison for their faith stand then? What about someone who is the only believer in their village? In their Muslim family? They may be alone, but they are not alone, as Paul wasn’t, and they are defiantly part of Christs body

I’d have to disagree with the Romans quote not being about the entire body of Christ , but instead a local church, Paul says “ we” , including himself, he had never been to Rome, he couldn’t be a “ member “ of their congregation, also it would mean there was only one group of believers in all of Rome, unlikely, especially at the time…probably many smaller groups

What would your thoughts be of the variety of Scriptures shared in context by Andrew? I would go read all those Scriptures in context and ask Holy Spirit to reveal the truth by exegesis of those Scriptures.

@DareusTyn that was the reason for my question above, Andrew already provided a variety of quotations, and if you would like to reply to them specifically and why you disagree, I'd be curious. I think a compelling Scripture to me out of the many would be Revelation 2:2 - all the apostles are dead except John, yet this church is commended by Jesus for testing apostles and finding them to be false. Like today, there are probably many many more false apostles that need testing.

I'm confused... so there's still a slope of deafness? Does that mean that God partially healed? I'm not sure this qualifies as a miraculous healing that should be in the same category as Jesus raising the dead and making the deaf to hear and blind to see... super stoked to know that God does hear us and gives us new hearts through Christ!

Oooh, God hears us when we trust in him; Jesus himself a few times had to apply healing hands twice for blind people, for on the first touch eye sight was only partially restored. This sister will experience greater healing as time goes by, if God wills. The Apostle Paul was kept his whole life of missionary work with "a thorn in the flesh", to test his trust in God.
