Damn, this was harder than I expected and the score confirmed it: 34 of 50. West Virginia took an awful beating.

I beg to differ regarding the answer to question No. 7 - Which is the hottest state? I think Nevada is far hotter than Florida. Arizona is substantially hotter, as well! Perhaps you need to quantify number of days with highest temps. Florida almost never reaches temps over 100 degrees, whereas parts of Nevada, especially Vegas, have temps consistently over 100 degrees throughout the summer months, and even in months prior to summer! Alaska cannot be the state that is the furthest west AND east...it is the furthest west.

Sorry that some of you think that Main is farthest East. Alaska is truly both farthest East and West. In the Aleutian Islands the western most island is farther West than the Western most part of Hawaii and the next island is across the International Date Line making it the Eastern most point in the US -- yes, still in Alaska.
