How do you determine if pits are 60% of Tmin. Do you multiply Tmin by 0.6 and subtract the answer from nominal for the recordable pit depth. The T2 value confuses me when it comes to determining rejectable pits.

As far I know duration calculation of Remaining life we take the value of corrosion rate which is less in value but in this problem why you take greater value instead of less value ? Explaination is required thanks
