I agree with you that eternity deerclops is pure perfection, it has its difficulty but it's completely fair, making it satisfying to beat. Don't try masochist deerclops though, we don't talk about that. For weapons you now have access to the weapon fron the abyss, it's decent enough and easy to get

The flurry storm cannon is so tuff

I've had so many moments in my Calamity playthroughs where I'm frustrated and then, oh look! A crucial piece of equipment I was missing! Now it's perfectly doable if not easy.

Those upgrades really made a difference on the fight!

Keep doing awesome stuff and be sure to check out some addons to Calamity if you want your mind (and patience) blown! I've become quite the Calamity nerd since the 2021 mage Storm Weaver fight, I'd love to see your reactions to stuff like the Catalyst addon, Infernum mode, Wrath of the Gods and Hunt of the Old God. They're extremely high quality (mostly) addons that bring incredible challenges and jaw dropping visuals to the table, significantly enhancing the Calamity experience.

I have been playing the Vessel of Hatred expansion as a Spiritborn and I am thoroughly enjoying it, Zen 👍 I have not played all of the seasons though. I admit that I liked the story continuation and I think that there will be more to come (you are right about the highs & lows as well...😉)

Can't blame you Ragnarok is in fact a flaw boss in many aspects, like it have the skeleton for a good boss but is missing the organs and the ones that are in there are in the wrong places. But being perfectly honest this current Ragnarok still the best one, seriously I player Thorium since begining and I can say the old version was Beyond of acceptable Regardless they really need a restructure specially the spam of Second phase while rotating the pkayer, which is kinda too much for sure Now about that damage well...remember you are on Master mode, where things hits like trucks anyways, and Thorium is not too adapted for this mode, so as a IMMENSE RECOMMEND for next time, don't play on master is not worth it Also a mod that speed up celestial invasion or at least remove the Pillar shields Now there's one thing you could try for a while, If you have time try check Thorium calamity convergence mod, as name implies it tries to adapt Thorium for calamity standards mainly changing some bosses and add Specialized weapons. But this mod is addon and have no fingers from both mods developers so weird things can happens
