@shootinglefthanded98873 жыл бұрын
Hello Michael, the Boss does change the frequency of the of the barrel, this changes when the bullet exits the barrel... if you imagen the behavior of the barrel as a sin wave at the very top and very bottom of the wave form there is little elevation change where at the slope sides the elevation change is so fast... by controlling the the time of when the bullet exit the barrel this provide less deviation relevant to the speed of the bullet... Same as hand loading with different speed... handloading we adjust the speed of the bullet that it exits when the barrel at that silent time at the very top of the wave form or bottom... just a simple explanation, there is much more to it...

For 22LR a standard competition distance is 25 yards and to take wind out of the equation shorter distance even at 10 yards is a good test. Hello Edie, the BAR has two options if not mistaken, Flash Hider and Muzzle Brake... the one I have is with the Muzzle Brake which will always make the gun louder to the sides of the gun as it vents the gases to the sides as the bullet is exiting the barrel... the Flash Hider will not change the sound profile that much... note that both BOSS' don't add to the volume over all they just change direction of the sound... Hope this helps

Good luck with finding ammo now! R57 is no thinner or lighter than G17 and R57 magazine holds only 3 more rounds. Moreover, Ruger 57 is unsafe to carry with loaded chamber. See Owner's Manual, page 21. Also, widely reported spongy trigger, flimsy sights, failures to eject, stovepipes, etc., etc. Instead of hipsterish 5.7x28 Ruger should give 7.62x25 new life.
