I have a sister in law that has been doing genealogy for close to 20 years and she had just come across the fact that we are Descendents of Mary Barnes thank you for enlightening us on this incident I have not done much research but have been to the museum in Salem of the witch trials there human history is very interesting

I am a direct descendent of the Barnes family according to myheritage.com. I haven't listened yet to know if it was a smear campaign or if she practiced actual witchcraft. I think it was what all country folk practiced before Christianity and included afterward. Mainly women as mid-wives who used the herbs for medicine etc.

Mary Barnes will have thousands of descendants. There are records dating back to her. If you do family genealogy yourself I guarantee you find at least 1 or 2 famous people from history.

When he married his second wife, he turned his children out, except for his eldest boy and his daughter Sarah. He kept Sarah as a servant. Sarah is my 9 x great grandmother.

My ancestors came with Rev. Thomas Hooker to Farmington from Hartford. I found this so interesting. I hope some teachers can incorporate your video into their classrooms for an interesting lesson on local history. Your efforts were so very well done ! Thank you.

Since I am in a wheelchair far too many construction companies have made me cross busy streets and intersections.And when you ask for help they ignore you. Not this company.Dominic and his crew shut off the machines and helped me cross the street.These guys are awesome.
