Since reading comprehension isn’t apparently the strong suit of this audience, let’s clarify: 99-07 (GMT800) trucks were produced in both the USA and Canada. The trucks made in Canada were programmed differently for some of the body control module features. 99-02 trucks made in the USA do not have “auto” mode on their headlight switch, it is in automatic mode by default. The 4x “dome override” press trick works on these trucks, but resets every time the truck is turned off. 03-06 trucks made in the USA have the “auto” mode in their switch where you can hit the “momentary” left turn position on the switch and it will change modes. The dome button only does dome override on these trucks. Canadian made gmt800 trucks and SUV’s have different BCM programs, and some of the ‘07 “classic” trucks have this too. I have owned 5 of these GM vehicles and have encountered both headlight switches. The hack shown in this video is a good trick. Alternatively, you can engage the parking brake pedal to the first notch and it will defeat the lights without actually engaging the brake.

Thanks for sharing as I'm new to Mevotech...this morning I just returned two unopened control arms, tie rod ends and sway bar links after doing more research on Mevotech. My original parts lasted 198k miles so far and are still technically good. I'm only replacing the struts and thought I would be clever while I had everything pulled apart and replace some existing parts with Mevotech, what a joke. Toyota OEM parts are more expensive but last and are worth your time in labor, China suspension parts might last a year or so. Junk.

Ok, every diesel heater video comment I see mentions to point your exhaust down or water will…blah blah blah! Prove me wrong, I would really like to eat my words and gain some knowledge at the same time. Thanks

This video I had it pointed up just to test it in the cold. I did see a video where a guy piped it into the exhaust of his van and it plugged up on him, probably due to large surface area of his exhaust pipe slowing down the flow, but you are probably right. The one I have on my pickup both the intake and the exhaust have low spots, not extreme but still lower than the inlet/outlet. I drilled about a 1/16" hole at the low point in both pipes and have not had a problem with them. Although cold air from outside contains much higher oxygen levels than warm interior air, that is a physics fact...Fuel flow rate and dispersal is negatively effected by colder temps, I'm not sure there is any negative effect from locating the device outside though..The chamber will burn at the same temperature, whether inside or outside, the glow plug heats the fuel and air for combustion..You would want the air that is heated, that flows over the burn chamber and into your contained space to be inside air, but not the air that is burnt, that should probably be outside air, which is returned to the outside through the exhaust...
