:) I'm currently in the planning stage for doing the "big loop" (around Australia) in my BYD Atto3 EV. I really only sleep in the car on hot nights so I can have the air con on. I have a tent similar to the Coleman Swagger that I usually sleep in, I like to have some elbow room. V2L means I can use a variety of mini appliances for cooking. :)

Hello, Thanks for your video I believe that the volumetric alarm (interior alarm of the vehicle) is not deactivated when the sentry mode is active 😔 Can you confirm this ? Thanks 😉

@LivinginTesla will this work in Model X?
@JordanStambaugh113 күн бұрын
So this is cool and everything…but you’re losing access to the underfloor trunk space. What if you want to have a cooler or other stuff down there? It’s completely inaccessible. You’re basically just trading that space for the sliding drawers. Also if you have kids…where do their bags go? This is a very niche product: single people lol.

Hey curious if you knew that there are issues with your shopping cart module. In USD, the lite version is $1040 and when I go to check out at CC entry the price goes back up to $1498. The second problem is that CA shipping is $109 then when entering the CC the shipping changes to $150. I'm putting my purchase on hold until it is resolved. Cheers mate.

yo those fridges are actually made to run on 24v as most rv equipment was based on 24v. i run mine on 28v thru a usb-c cable and high efficiency gan pd 3.1 charger at home. i have a video on my channel which explains how to cut the power use of those fridges by about 80%. I do think that your 12v battery went bad somewhat early because it was getting drained below 40% somewhat frequently. I would look into getting one of those window solar panels which keeps your 12v battery at a higher state of charge since the car is probably forgetting to charge it as often as it needs.

Nice work, each iteration improves on the last. I like the look of the slanted drawer faces, and how there is no longer a gap on the floor in front of the drawer.

Do you find it comfortable sleeping on an inflatable mattress all the time? Since you live all the time in the car, I wonder why you didn’t buy yourself Dreamcase? I am thinking to buy myself Tesla Y and use it when I travel for work to other cities, but not sure if I should get myself Dreamcase or just an inflatable mattress to save on space - I have very warm Jerven Extreme bag, think I won’t even need to heat the car

Does Kyle need to have his heart checked out? Breathing was concerning. Retired nurse here. This is nice but looks very heavy and not user friendly. Pieces lift but are not easily placed back. Would prefer a strong, lightweight plastic mold that could be better for conserving battery charge and be waterproof.
@LivinginTeslaАй бұрын
Thanks so much for the note! I’ve spoken to Kyle about the concern. Kyle and I have both spent extensive time living out of our cars, and this is by far our favorite and most practical kit! :) Plastic could be a great option when scaled, and it’s something we’d love to explore in the future. The kit weighs about as much as one person and has virtually no effect on range since it’s stored inside. The panels are coated on the surfaces so it’s water resist!

Is this fit for 7 seater model Y?
@LivinginTeslaАй бұрын
We made it for the 5-seater! In theory, it should work with the 7-seater if you’re able to figure out how to remove the third row seats. Testing was not done in the 7-seater

If there’s a sink in that area then you can count on splashing and spills… so how is the plywood and all the hardware treated to with stand moisture like that. Imagine an accident while cooking or cleaning where you spill a drinking vessel, or a pot or the sink full of water all over the drawers or some fraction of the drawers that you obviously will clean up as best you can.. what will happen to the wood and hardware? Now what happens if you go camping or are travelling for months using the sink every day or every weekend and you spill things or splash while washing up and it’s. Instantly getting a little wet? How did you account for that basic use issue in the materials, design or coatings?
@LivinginTeslaАй бұрын
That’s a great point! The panels are all clear coated on their surfaces, so there’s a layer of water resistant

This is what I want to know as well. I don't have an MY yet but I assume those bolt holes exist in all MYs, and so can still be utilitzed.
@LivinginTeslaАй бұрын
We designed it for the 5-seater since those bolt holes aren’t being utilized. In theory, it could work for the 7-seater as well if the third-row seats are removed

Be it late as to first posting-but-- the commendable set up is missing one major item--a portable latrine! The last images show the "Y" in an open snowy field, no tress to hide an urgent Call of Nature. And there be many "Karens' who will shriek to the cops about you. Last in many campgrounds you cannot sleep in your car[any car}. This rule prevents the campground from becoming a homeless ghetto
