Just troubleshot one today in this case it was the ac compressor the clutch was engaged and the light was blinking had to much play

If this hasnt been solved go to your local autozone and they should give you a free obd2 reading telling whats wrong hopefully

I have a 2002 Lexus ES300. I looked online for D2R HID headlight bulb. You’ll see several types. You can compare it to the old one you have. I found them but needed it right away so I couldn’t wait for them to be shipped. I ended up going to the salvage yard in my town and removed the bulbs from a Lexus there. I paid $2 for admission. And the bulbs were $3 each. Your mileage may vary on that last option but it was worth it for me. Good luck!

As far as I know, these cars only came in HID or halogen headlights. I don’t know of any LED bulb that can replace an HID unless you know how to custom wire the LED.

@@eltpg No problem. Good work on the video! I have a small power steering leak on my 2002 Rav4 as well. Just went over to Princess Auto and picked up a box of 400+-o-rings for $10.00. Hopefully one of the o-rings will work. Looks like a fairly easy job to tackle this weekend.....

@@eltpg I crawled under my 2002 Rav4 yesterday and found the leak. I just tightened the bolt for the time being and if the leak goes away I'll be more than happy. If not, at least I have O-rings to fix the drip. The video was really really helpful since I was going to pry off the oil pain thinking the drip was coming from the oil pan. However the fluid was definitely red so the problem wasn't an oil pan leak. For a 19 year old with only very minor problems, I'm very impressed with the Toyota build quality. Nothing even comes close to these 20 year old tanks. Parts are still readily available at the local auto parts store and NAPA since the Camry, corolla, wer also built around the same Toyota design. Bolt is a 12 mm and can be easily access by pushing back the inner plastic splash guard. Just tighten the bolt snug. If the leak continues then you should replace the O-ring. If the leak stops then you just saved yourself at least $300.00.

I bought mine at the dealer but I have since then discarded the packaging. Sometimes these are just temporary fixes before the rest of the gaskets start to go on the pump. Ultimately, I ended going with a new pump some time after this repair. Good luck.

Always try to tighten Suction Port bolt first. Often it's just a loose bolt that needs tightening. I did the same thing with the transmission oil pan gasket on my 2002 Rav4 and fixed that big leak for nothing. Toyotas are very very well made and often the bolts just loosen up over time. If you need to use an o-ring just use an O-ring similar in size. Go to your local wholesale auto parts place (like Princess Auto) and buy the bulk 0-ring package of 300 o-rings. It's cheaper buying a set of 300 o-rings than to find and buy the single o-ring. Find an o-ring close in size and just use that o-ring. It won't be an exact match but it should be a close enough match to do the job. As vehicles get older parts counters won't hold stock any longer thus it's good to learn how to improvise as vehicles get older and older.

I believe there should be a little sleeve that the lock spring hooks on to. You can barely see them in the video. One is to the left of the left screw and the other is to the right of the right screw. Try a small inspection mirror or put your cellphone in and take a pic so can get a closer view. Good luck.

I'm struggling even getting that first grey clip un-hooked on my 2003. I have large-ish hands. This would be so easy if the wiper fluid thing wasn't in the way. I went to the shop and they charge $140 per bulb just for parts... I refuse to pay that kind of markup.

I would first try to reach down with a telescoping magnet and see if you can retrieve it. Otherwise, visiting your local salvage yard might be the least expensive option.

Mike I believe so. Some models came with halogen lights though so those bulbs are different.
