The real jet is one of the most beautiful aircraft I've ever seen. I'm guessing the CG was too far aft or maybe the elevator servo failed? I can't imagine an experienced pilot would over rotate so early and stall. Any experienced pilot, which I assume he had to be with a jet of this size, would get to takeoff speed before rotating.

OUCH that's sad... and so freakin' expensive! The big shock, other than the too-slow turn and resulting accelerated stall, was how long it took anyone to respond to the smoke and fire. I can see at least one fire extinguisher on the flightline in the video and am shocked that no one ran across immediately to try to extinguish the fire as time is of the essence. Oh well, I've had my share of RC model crashes in my lifetime and definitely feel for that flyer as that was a gorgeous model.
@Tooommmek
@Tooommmek 7 ай бұрын
Not too many guys in this hobby can run 500 yards with extinguishers, that could easily end up with someone having heart attack saving what’s left, the jet separate to sections and the turbines stayed in safe locations they actually had no damage just the front of the jet got on fire

@@Tooommmek LOL I'm 72 and in an emergency I'd run like the freakin' wind to try to put out the threat of fire and/or (partially) save a $15,000 toy, mine or a buddy's! Hmmm...I think those "guys in this hobby" need to go to the gym. Happy Holidays & Safe Flying in 2024!

Always a sad moment when you lose such a beautiful model. Especially when it is so damn expensive.. Yea, it might have been pilot error, but, the fact of the matter is I wasn’t there to see all of the variables that may have caused it. Did something get stuck? Did it lose a engine? Was the engines losing power? Or was he just flying to slow? I have had my shares of oops moments in flying all types of planes. Alot from unforeseen circumstances. I feel your pain and frustration. But, we all get back up and start again. I love the Jolly Rogers scheme on the F-14. Actually, any of the planes that the Jolly Rogers on.

Thats crazy, couldn't believe my eyes as your videos came up. A flyeaglejet mig29-ub!!! I have been hunting this plane for years across europe and finally got a used one as flyeaglejet seems to be out of business for years now. Where did you get yours from? Can you share some details, maybe pictures/video from the interior also? I am finishing mine during this winter but as edf on 2x jetfan 120 with around 22kg thrust together! Would be great to see more from you beautifull mig!!! Rgds, stephan/austria

I actually have two of them, one is still brand new and waiting to be finished, I have this one used for friend of my who had it for a long time, personally I think that turbine power is more suitable for this jet but if you build it light and eliminate the unnecessary stuff this should work, I was not the original builder of this jet I’m telling you it’s not a pretty and clean machine but after some time I did it airworthy and I’m still finding more to be improved, waiting for spring and more flights, I’m planning to upgrade the turbines to 140 sizes instead of the 100

@@neglg2353 another guy in france did this conversion nearly 10 years ago allready... With the technology of those days, she flew well ... kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIOxpGmnjcR1h6ssi=QU_cQ0OFk9j2fYaX Mine will fly on around 21kg thrust and some other tunings... At the moment i will test open duct, the jetfans are massive in this configuration, powered by 14s hacker 7500 2p packs with special escs. Upgrade to 16s is possible... However my issue at the moment is regarding the main legs. The need to be air pressure to work correctly, but there is no valve. The brass "thing" is just a troughput, not a valve. What are you using? By the way, mailing would be great 😊

looking at the flags in the video, as he made the turn he was going down wind with too slow of speed and lost lift. You always have to be aware of the wind, especially when blowing as hard as this video looks when going down wind.......remember the air going over the wing is decreased alot when going down wind.......sorry for your loss.
@gogogeedus

If you have the same airspeed in both directions then it is the same going down wind, but the ground speed needs to be faster going down wind.

Hey, I just maidened my "new-to-me" Sky E Master F-15. I am pretty certain that my airframe was originally your airframe, because the modifications are identical to what you did to yours down to a mount for a single servo to actuate the main gear doors. Same bifurcated turbine pipe. Here's an unlisted link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppCZgop9epeVqqs
