Do you know of any research or data collection of horse injuries and/or survival in trailer accidents in relationship to whether the frame was aluminum or steel or at least accurate, unbiased information about ride comfort and crash safety of steel frame vs. aluminum frame trailers in regard to strength of materials, compressive strength, tensile strength, shear strength. I am a dealer, not a manufacturer. From my understanding of physics, I am distressed by the invention of, allowed usage and continued production and usage, and growth of usage of aluminum frame trailers. Do I misunderstand the physics of steel and aluminum, or have aluminum trailer manufacturers been too successful marketing their products at the expense of accurate information in regards to actual comfort and safety?

Your video is terrific--I stayed fully involved for the entire time and actually wanted to see more! I believe this video could inspire a lot of responders to get more training since LAR can be needed--as you pointed out--even in urban settings or in any jurisdiction where animals can come through via transport on freeways.
