I've met dwayne while working at stations through an agency. I worked as part of the revenue protection team for 2 days. Dwayne is a nice guy and i was interested in finding out more information about his role which led me to this video through the website. If you like a challenging role where you have to constantly use conflict management techniques then this the perfect role for you. In other words if you like arguing constantly with people.

I wonder if Network Rail are still going to replace the overhead wires at Prittlewell and Southend Victoria. I have been on the Class 720 and I like them a lot.

The new Class 720 trains that replaced the Class 321, Class 317, Class 360 and Class 379 EMUs are much better when they first came into service in 2021.

And him saying “What do you think they’re thinking?” “Probably I hope i get a seat, what’s for dinner? I hope we are on time, that kind of thing’. “Exactly, none of them are thinking, does that lad know what he’s doing, will he get us there safe? Don’t let them down son”. I never forgot that.

I recently travelled much of Norfolk with Greater Anglia and found the trains and the service to be excellent and very reasonably priced. Wish i could say the same about certain other uk railway franchises but unfortunately i can't.

Tractions will be 745s. In order to become a trainee mainline driver, you need to do at least 1 year on the local/shorter routes like (from norwich) cambridge, lowestoft, great yarmouth and other locations. The 745 is a 12-car EMU Stadler FLIRT train using traction motors. You have the /0 which runs norwich to london and the /1 which is the stansted express. You may have to do a service to/from london in a 755/4, 755/4, 755/3 formation. These run at 7am to london, 10am to norwich and two others in the afternoon. All information is coming from a mainline driver of 10 years (not me, instead a friend). I will update this as more knowledge comes on intercity services

When will you be doing work on Wickford station with building a new station building. It’s been like it for ages and nothing hasn’t happened yet. I’ve been to Wickford many times and I think it’s time that you should start working on building a new station building that Wickford desperately needs.

Would be nice if you could order more Class 745s so that extra Class 745/0s would be used on the London Liverpool Street-Norwich route. And extra Class 745/1s for the Stansted Express service. Or perhaps use some Class 720s to operate to Norwich formed as 10-Car (2x 5-Car) at peak times.
