I brought mine home from the gunshop. I have several 1911s. This was definitely a struggle to put back together and get your barrel lug lined up... I finally got it back together. Definitely will have to try this. Have you shot it yet and if so. Notice any differences with the different recoil springs? Thanks!

So for anyone having an actual problem connecting 🤣 I think you cannot connect to your bridge if you have already set up bluetooth connections. Or otherwise already been through the initial app setup. After several hours of trying to get my bridge connected, here's what I did to finally get it to at least connect to my phone... although now the issue is that there's a mandatory firmware update, and after "Preparing..." for several minutes, it fails :/ I unplugged the ethernet cable from my bridge, and held the reset button (on the back, in the tiny hole; you need to use something like a safety pin) for about 5 seconds until the light underneath the large center button turned off. After that, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Hue app on my phone. BEFORE logging in, I plugged the ethernet cable back into the Bridge and waited for the second light to stop blinking. Afterwards, I made sure my phone was connect to the right network then logged in. After that, it goes through the app setup process and asks me if I want to add a Bridge before we get started.. FINALLY it detects the bridge... but once it's connected, it tells me I need to do a firmware update for the bridge before I can continue, and now that's where I'm stuck 😥

$50.00 for that spring is worth if you have ever had your slide stuck on the frame due to that stock spring assembly. As much as that Defender costs, along with how many years Colt knew about this issue, why haven’t they fixed it?

A tip for everybody: In the Deprecated Features tab, you should DEFINETELY activate the following options: -Allow GPU rendering (makes no sense to leave that unchecked. Also: If your GPU is better than your CPU, you should explore the options when rendering your video. Somewhere at the bottom of the format settings is the option to enable GPU rendering.) -Enable ProType Titler (it's a much better text plugin than the normal one. It is a bit more complicated, but if you want to animate your text, ProType is the one you should go with!) -Quicktime Plugin (as explained in the video)

GREAT Upgrade ' A company named EGW # 10509 also makes a single spring solid rod recoil flat wire spring '' direct drop in '' I just bought one off of ebay it is much nicer than the oem colt design ... the bushing and rod fit are really nice '' just pulling the slide back makes it much more simple to re assemble ' i am impressed with the quality ' for about 60 dollars i think its a must needed upgrade for these 3 inch models i have a 90 series colt new agent . All of my full size 1911 45s have the full length Wilson rod upgrades it really helps the guns run better and the recoil spring cycle the same way every time '' well worth the extra cost ''

I got the same exact handle of that one from tacknifes for a free offer. It runs 70 bucks. My bladevis a tanto. Well built. But I wonder how long the springs inside last. Alot of the budget knifes use the same knifes and just put there logo on it. Only difference is prices on them really. Microtec knifes as we know are insanely priced. But at least there knifes are different from eachother.
