Very beautiful work. The oil brings out the grain very nicely. I like the way you sanded the inside smooth while leaving the outside "rough" so the carving marks are visible.

Thank you for your comment. It was quite difficult to make this piece because it has many parts.
To save welding the nuts to metal plates you can instead recess them into the wood to fix them in position.

That’s what i did and his version’s way better, saving way more time. It took me a whole night to chisel out the wood and them holes were still not perfect. His will guarantee you have perpendicular holes.
