The beat is indeed Kujp's, the entire mess stemmed from the Bulgerian choir sample not being cleared before Ren bought the beat. So 100% Kujo fault, yet he had the balls to try and pass that cost to Ren and also to try and extort more money.

I absolutely loved this the first time I heard it and I still laugh out loud whenever I hear it. I love watching people reacting to this song to see how long it takes them to catch onto what Ren is talking about. Generally women are a lot faster at catching on. You were really quick. Loved your reaction. Ren is such a cheeky fella.

This sounded more commercial than Ren's usual stuff because it was written while he was with Sony, The label has taken heat from many due to "dumping" Ren when he got sick, but that was not the case at all. It was a mutual decision intiated by Ren himself telling them he'd be unable to fulfill contract due to his sickness, and Sony was even kind enough to release the rights to songs Ren wrote while still with them (with Fire being one) to him free of charge.
