Fantastic video. Thanks for posting. Both Murray and James are deeply missed. Great commentators together. Like father and son, two different viewpoints in the booth and on life. Great stuff. Watched James live back in the day race at Long Beach during the US Grand Prix West. good memories. Best wishes to the British Hunt family. Cheers from Texas.

Why do we need more women in F1?
@bonk52078 ай бұрын
it's about making it so that it is possible for women to enter F1, right now they're not even given an opportunity. if you're a fan of the sport and you like competition then increasing the talent pool can only be a good thing for the sport, imagine if we got a Michele Mouton?

I love the nonsense that it was always McLaren v Ferrari that really mattered. Lotus won the title in '70 and '72, Tyrrell in '71 and '73. Ferrari hadn't won it since '62, and McLaren just once in their history - '74!

probably the last time i was truely excited about f1, Button had long been my favourite driver, an underdog victory story is always impressive and i never liked the over commercialisation of f1 and the teams, it seemed briefly like the days of Lotus, Mclaren and Williams. actual teams with their own identity and not just brand names. Benneton, Mercedes, BMW, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, etc. just seems like stolen valour to me, the team achieves something but the brand name takes credit, and loses its identity whenever a new brand name takes over. I was a massive Lotus fan but to see the enstone team using the Lotus name i didnt like. unles Lotus set up their own team from scratch like Chapman did there will only ever be 1 Lotus. Brand names are not teams. with only williams and mclaren left i hate what has happened to f1 over the last 30 years.

James Hunt, would have destroyed Lauda in '76. It's only due to the unreliable McLaren at the start of the season. James, basically won every GP from the French, once McLaren were reliable. James, won every GP from French. Robbed from British GP. Would have won the Italian GP, if not to more Ferrari dodgy fuel bollocks. Beat Lauda, at Canada and USA...then Lauda bottled it in Japan!

In relation to F1 pit stops 1:04:44, Brands Hatch '82 was in fact the first time Brabham were ready for a planned stop. Patrese went out at the start & Piquet led the race for 9 laps before an engine failure.

an honest man, really unassuming, I used to run an old car in FF, in 1981 festival I did the same time as James Weaver with a RP26 and I was 8th in the final(if I only had newer tyres!!!), I said that because my car run well...I saw Dick looking at my car...maybe there was something interesting... and he was winning in F3! ...following year I had problems with my F3 car and I consulted him, he gave me his viewpoints even I had nothing to do with him, this was in 1982, I haven't forget that. Another good Kiwi Howden Ganley, nice people!! thanks for existing!
