Jakob & Bill recorded 3 sublime albums with this ensemble (more or less) on the Euro label Loveland. I listen to each of them weekly.

Anyone know who's guitar he's playing? Assuming it's one of the students.

The guitar tones on that album... they speak to my very musical soul, I was a teenager at the time so it feels like those tones are in my DNA. I'm grateful for that.

full band version is SO superior - I got sick of the sappier all acoustic slow version. Mike's solos and melodies and are so much better in this driving version, plus STAN!

Tom Petty could have had a whole other career in country music as he got older. Too bad there wasn't more of him. I miss him tremendously.

Tom was too pure to be subjected to this disgusting world we live in today. I wish this world could have hung onto the Tom Petty innocence a little longer. Unfortunately we're living through the fall of human kind. I probably sound like a lunatic but dang if the writing ain't on the walls. I miss the Tom days so much. I'd give anything to relieve June 5th 2017 seeing him live for the last time. I didn't know it at the time but my life would be upside down shortly after that. The reality we live in just went into the twilight zone shortly after that. Part of me is glad he didn't have to experience it. Most of me just fucking misses Tom!

Its absolutely criminal this wasn't released on full moon fever. The recorded version is SO good. It was crazy reading how the music business didn't believe in Tom's record and in the end Zombie Zoo was put on the record instead. How could you listen to Full Moon Fever and not love it? Not to mention exclude Waiting for Tonight from it. Love that a live version was done and more importantly someone saved it for us. Thanks. Miss ya tom.

Always a bummer that I never got to see this with my brother. We started going to TP during the Long After Dark tour. It had been put away as Mike points out with the Hard Promises tour. By the time of its very brief return during The Last DJ tour, my brother had passed. It was truly one of my brother's favorites. Thanks for sharing, Mike. Lovely to hear and see this.

The album Echo is my favorite Tom Petty & HB album, cannot understand why it gets so maligned and is so under appreciated. It's his most underrated album for sure. In this case his personal struggles created wonderful and timeless art.

This man is absolutely a American Treasure ! When it was announced that he had passed and I cried ,and cried His relationship with his fan's is something that we will never see again! Truly so grateful to attend a few concerts and every single person knew every word of every single song. I am positive that Tom knew that his music got people through the best of times of happiness, and times of sorrow. Please🙏 if you love Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers do the future generations the gift of his legacy ! I certainly have with my 38 years old twin son's , they also have the love for Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac ! When I pass away I know that they will think of me with a sentimental smile, and remember how I sang to them when they were little and I still do as grown men❤💙💖💞💕
