As of July 18, 2024, Australians can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 60 days for tourism or short-term business travel. This is an expansion from the previous 30-day limit. The visa can be extended by up to 30 days through the Thai immigration bureau.

Bangkok airways own the airport in Sumui and obviously until recently were the only domestic airline flying into Samui clearly captive for them and could charge whatever price they they wanted Last month (low season), a one-way flight from Bangkok was nearly 5000 baht a one hour flight, a typical internal flight from Bangkok to another city in Thailand 900 baht, I took a flight to Sarat Thani from BBK for 1000 baht and took the bus to domsak and caught the ferry

Berjaya Times Square is overrated. Its a mall nothing so special about it. There were few indoor activities like bowling, roller skating, laser tag. But apart from bowling, roller skating rest were all very pricy and not worth the price.

What I like at Thermae café is the exchange booth on top. It gives always the same rate as "Superrich" at Asoke BTS, but with no qeues.

I can't confirm that. Thermae Cafe is not a normal cafe. Prostitutes meet there and wait for customers and it has happened over the years that Japanese, Koreans and Chinese simply bring more money with them than most Europeans. The prices for women are quite high at Thermae Cafe but there are plenty of alternatives. So I live in the outskirts of Bangkok. It takes me about 25-30 minutes to get to the city center by water taxi and then another 10 minutes to the entertainment district around Asoke, Terminal 21, Soi Cowboy. I live in a condo where almost only locals live on 48 square meters on the 33rd floor and I pay €250 in basic rent per month with an annual contract. Where can I find such a cheap and new condo in London, Brussels, Berlin, Paris? Shopping outside of the city center is also much cheaper. If I go to the weekly market around the corner from me, I pay around 40-60% of what I would pay at a comparable market in the city center. Of course, imported goods are always expensive, such as butter and cheese.

The comparison with Thermae Cafe is about as accurate as if I were equating the prices in Las Vegas for tourists with all cities in America. There are places that are expensive, but in Bangkok there are countless cheap offers. But if you always have to live in the city center, near the red light district, you have to pay more. I can get a beer for 60 baht everywhere in Bangkok, I don't have to buy the 200 baht beer from the Thermae Cafe and as for women, the ones in the Thermae Cafe are almost only interested in Asians. They simply have more money than many other nations. I can still find women anywhere for less than half the price of Thermae Cafe. But of course there are also prostitutes in Bangkok who charge $500 per hour and others charge $50. Which doesn't mean that one is 10x better than the other :) This information video only refers to a single small place, a cafe, a place where women offer their services and it does not reflect the whole of Bangkok with 17 million inhabitants.

my experience on visiting Thermae Cafe has been 5000 BTH and most will not negotiate, one explanation by local expats is the high number of Japanese males that frequent the bar and will not negotiate because they do not want to lose face (appear a cheep skate). some good points are, all females entering are checked at the entry of the stairs down to the cafe for legal age and to ensure they are not ladyboys who are not allowed entry, all so the best evenings to visit are Friday and Saturdays as some ladies that work during the week will go to the bar to supplement their income when extra finical needs arise.
