أولا هيتاشي يابانية وليست صينية. ثانيا الشركة هي Hitachi Rail Italy، وهي فرع من شركة هيتاشي اليابانية. وكانت الشركة في السابق شركة ايطالية تسمى AnsaldoBreda ، وهي فرع من مجموعة Finmeccanica. وفي عام 2015 استحوذت هيتاشي على Ansaldo بالكامل. اذا لا علاقة للصين، ربما اختلط الامر على الاستاذ، رغم أن هيتاشي معروفة وحتى نطقها يشي بأنها يابانية وليست صينية.

Yea your IET is still built of horrible quality. The new class 805 and class 807 can’t even reach 125mph because they can’t tilt on the west coast mainline 💀

Hitachi should continue on manufacturing more IETs and AT200s to replace the older electric and diesel trains and to make those new trains more eco-friendly, reliable and efficient for the railways in the UK.

I can see the full benefit of battery powered trains that can help reduce emissions and improve efficiency and reliability. Maybe Hitachi should build more new trains to cater for rural areas in Southwest England, West of England, The Midlands and North of England. As well Wales, Southwest Scotland and the North of Scotland.

The majority of early twentieth-century tram systems were taken up when buses became a cheaper alternative - no expensive rails or overhead power to install. And the rails meant that trams were confined to a very precise route and could not manouevre around an obstacle in the road such as roadworks or a broken down vehicle. Even trolley buses which kept the power but ran on bus wheels were done away with. Can someone explain what it is that makes it worth re-investing in an expensive rail system rather than electric buses with the same batteries?

Florence Marvellous Medieval City, cradle of Renaissance and PowerHouse of Commerce. Nowadays, in his historical spirit, it is ahead of Euopean cities for developping a project of substainable transports. The Tram (Tramvia) network of Florence Metropolitan area will be completed, hopefully, by 2030 giving the City a new and a key contribution to cut traffic pollution and noise. Compliments to Florence Community for this important project.

No hate to Hitachi and Trenitalia, but couldn't you make those trains faster, 150 km/h is not bad for a double decker, but it should be better, also what is top speed of Hitachi Blues trains
Those seats look bloody awful Hitachi. We used to have comfortable thickly padded seats in the past and not these miserable 'ergonomic' seats. Best seats were on the 159 South Western Turbos that I used to drive. So comfortable. The Class 800 here gets many complaints because of the poor quality seating compared to the HST sets it replaced. I must admit that the First Class seats were not too bad, not perfect but not bad compared to the backache inducing Std seating.

Positioning the seats face to face is not the best solution. This is a real knee war if you are above average height. Make sure the chairs face the same direction!

This is being done for safety and security reasons, most likely (the safety being to deter anybody from doing something bad-usually to a woman-on the trains.)

Hitachi Rail genuinely offers a very rewarding career path. Having run my own business and now recently employed full time at Hitachi Rail in the UK now, I can honestly say that it’s been the best move I have ever made. Excellent training from day one, with constant support from Hitachi management and full support from every colleague. In addition to which, is an excellent competitive salary and very rewarding promotion prospects. The only downside, is all the overtime hours I enjoy doing at Hitachi, to which my wife objects as she hardly sees me she says! 😊
