I have been playing bass for a couple of years and TPC bass lines inspired me!!! I’m gonna cry during their finale tour in Atlanta!

"When we started Tokyo Police Club everyone was playing guitar, and after a while it was kind of like 《alright we're really missing something, we're really missing bass, the songs need some bass.》And I was the only one who knew how to play bass, so I, you know, metaphorically drew the short straw and got stuck playing bass..." -Dave Monks in Dave Goes Wild: Dave's Bass Tips

OMG I totally think playing bass and singing is so very difficult, because every-time I start singing the rhythm of the bass goes all wrong. Very cool video ^^ Thanks for sharing :D **

This Is so true. When I was writing music with my brother the best music came just by letting it ride with no intentions of it being the best song ever. We would come up with lyrical narratives that made it easier to guide the inspiration of the lyrics and let the structure change naturally. Thanks for sharing Dave! Keep on killing it

just wanna say I've been listening to forcefield a lot lately, like 2 times a day from front to back and it's an underrated tpc album. Through and wire is my favorite but I really like the album as a whole
