It is true that Punjabis are adventurous, love to try new things, are adaptable and can be found anywhere. However, not all actors, if people want to refer to the Punjab of today. But, Punjab was the largest state at the then time. In that sense, the majority of them are indeed connected to it. Anyway, how many of them are concerned with using their native tongue? They may speak their native tongue in private, but their workplace culture encouraged using a different language.

Majoritly Punjabi actor present generation grew up in Mumbai. Yes they are connected to the roots. If U see major Bollywood family have Thier homes in Lahore gunjarwala Rawalpindi lyallapur area so when they were uprooted settled in different cities of India where Punjabi was not majorly spoken. Even my both side were Punjabi khatris from Lahore and Sialkot I don't know Punjabi language because my parental grandfather lala harikrishna sareen and and grandmother manju chopra settled in Ghaziabad. So when they settled here majority were Hindi speakers so speaking in Hindi became common in our west Punjabi community. The partition was painful journey for us but we actually couldn't preserve the language that's the thing I regret but the kind of pain we Punjabi faced Many never faced my both sides of family had to start from scrat new city new language new culture it's was a mess but they did I am happy
