MAN, I don't like when non-comic book fans don't know the "history" of a character. The Captain Marvel name has been used by a few characters. PLUS, there IS a female Captain Marvel, in the comics. In fact Rougue stole much of her power, with mutant ability. So CM later renamed herself Binary, when she regain other super powers (flight, super strength, etc.). I think Brie probably just wasn't the best choice to play this character. Her acting felt forced. It wasn't smooth and "perfect-for-the-part" like RDJ for Tony Stark, RR for Wade Wilson, HJ for Logan, WS for Blade, CH for Thor, etc.
