Nah, I'll stick with WNDRD. Their CEO hasn't freely offered my information to the government, when the government didn't even ask. Not a fan of snitches, either. What an unbelievably out-of-touch move by the CEO of Peak Design.

Thank you again for this informative perspective on the 50-55mm focal length. I'm having the debate at the moment around purchasing 35mm or a 50mm lens. I have several 35s, a 50mm m-mount and a 65mm F2 which is a really lovely lens but a bit too telephoto at time. The 24-70 f2.8 at times can be heavy especially as a walk around combo. A 50mm focal length might split the difference for me. Any thoughts?
@TheBergreens5 күн бұрын
It sounds like a 50mm could be a great fit for you! You could rent one to try it out or you could just buy and re-sell if you don't like it (relatively affordable if you buy used). Good luck!

@@TheBergreens I''ve had the Sigma 28mm 1.8 EX, Canon 28mm 2.8 IS and I may get the Sigma Art 28mm 1.4, although it's pretty large. I've not tried the Canon 28mm 1.8 but that looks nice. I think for B&W 28mm is perfect and great for street and everyday photography. I would prefer f2, f2.8 is a bit limited but that is a very sharp lens. The alternative is to get a Canon 24mm 1.4L and crop it. Not ideal but it's a great lens. I think it pairs well with a 50mm 1.4 or 1.2 Canon lens. The Leica Q3 would be perfect with a fixed 28mm lens but I don't have £5400 I can blow on a camera. The 35mm i nice, but you need a bit of distance for that. I would say: 35mm = 1 person 28mm = 2 people 24mm = Groups

Thanks for this review, I think it is pretty helpful at least for me. I am evaluating between this backpack and the new Outdoors 45l Peak design backpack as a 1 bag traveling solution. In some way this one looks a little bit more padded for camera protection in case of hitting hard surfaces, and somehow looks also a little bit more spacious from capacity standpoint. What do you think and what would you suggest between the 2 for a 1 bag travel with only a small camera cube?
@TheBergreens8 күн бұрын
If you’ll be carrying the bag a lot on your back, the outdoor backpack is better. If it’s for planes, trains, automobiles, go for the travel backpack 😁🤙🏻

The bag is good. I have it. My greatest complaints are the hooks they use for the waist belt and the chest strap. Its a pain to take off and put on. Its almost always a two handed affair. Putting on and taking off the waist belt is ALWAYS two handed. Its is a real pain. They could have just used a military style clasp or a magnetic clasp if they wanted it to be low profile. But no, its gotta be that stupid hook. Oh and don't forget it is nearly impossible to tighten or loosen the waist belt when its on, due to its design. Putting it on or taking it off takes about 5 times longer than a usual fast buckle. You have to stop walking, look down, grab it with both hands and do it up or take it off. And you can't adjust its length without taking the bag off. Even then its a pain.
@TheBergreens16 күн бұрын
Great insight and I agree with this completely. Sometimes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Classic buckle would have been better. Most of the time I don’t use the suspension so I don’t encounter this often though.

@atrytone00724 күн бұрын
The 6,400 ISO used in this comparison vid arguably put the A7siii to a disadvantage. In real-life, I’d shoot photos using either native ISO 99% of the time and most other A7siii shooters might do the same purposely to get cleaner shots. Using A7siii as a workhorse for more than 3 years now. Test results might be more fair if native ISOs are used as the baseline.
@TheBergreens23 күн бұрын
You're right, that's an important consideration. I was wondering if the native ISO is a consideration for photo. I know it makes a big difference in video. I'm glad you're finding success with it!

@johngreenwood924725 күн бұрын
I actually like using the 85mm for landscapes; picking up on your point that it "helps to remove clutter" in your photos, but also helps you avoid taking "what's the point" landscape views, by encouraging you to introduce foreground focal points into your composition which may otherwise be missed, if zooming between 70-200mm. As a longtime film user, I remember when even expensive wide aperture Canon FD zooms had poor definition compared with primes and in those days like today I preferred taking out a relatively light 85mm f1.8 together with a compact f2 24mm prime lens on a days hiking expedition. Great video btw!
