This is shocking. So many people gone. This would have been my graduation class if I had gone to Hicksville H.S. I went to L. I. Lutheran H.S. in Brookville, but my sisters and brother all graduated from Hicksville H.S. Thank you for posting such a nice tribute to these people. 🙋🙏

Fun to see this. My mother taught high school during that time and I remember a lot of her students. This class reminds me much of them.

That’s me I guess looking at the blonde (Joanne Samuels?) with the pigtails instead of the camera. I see a Jane listed and I see a redhead in the middle so I guess that’s Jane Crino. I see a Debra listed , would that be Debra Hess? Can anybody pick her out? And Nick Pagano is easy to spot, he was always the biggest one. :) Quite a bit of these faces look so familiar even almost 60 years later! I lost this class picture 30? 40? Years ago so thanks for bringing back some memories!

Thank you BuffaloBob Casale for this video. Although I was in the class of '71, one person I did know from class of '65 was Charlie Graham. He served in Vietnam and when he returned home, he went to Nassau Community College (we would run into one another on campus) and I also worked with him at Wetson's in Syosset. Bob, do you have any info on what caused Charlie's passing?

Many thanks to those that contributed to this video. Yep, I am from the Hicksville class of 1971. Hope to be able to attend the 50th reunion in 2021. James "Jim" Asaph.

Bob,I was a US Marine in Vietnam in 1969. I know this is a long shot, but I was corresponding with a high school girl from Hicksville, NY in 1969. It's been 51 years ago so I can't remember her name. She wrote to me as a lift me up. We never met and I always wondered what became of her. I was a cook in H & S CO 3/9 3rd MARDIV FIRE BASE STUD QUANG TRI PROVINCE South Vietnam (Vandergriff Combat Base) When I saw your post come up I thought I would give it a shot again.

The book by Adam Makos for those interested in the complete story, A Higher Call is a must read for you. Seeing that Adam had met with both of the pilots, from what I can tell, there was absolutely no embellishing of facts. I have read a few good books about WW 2 and with out any hesitation, for me, this is the best read possible. Due to other commitments, Adam took the better part of 7 years to get the correct info for his great read, A Higher Call. Get it, with an open mind, read it and enjoy it. You will. I can guarantee that you will find the book /story hard to put down.

@@buffalobobcasale6069 Hi, my parents made me go to private school for my last 3 years...I graduated in 1974 from a Prep school in Greenwich , Conn. but i have vivid memories of all my years of school here in Hicksville...East St. Elementary , Nicholai for 3rd grad & the Junior hig for 7th,8th, & 9th....I have always felt like I missed out on sooooo much happiness. I missed all my classmates soooo much, while I hated being away. I would just love to see their faces, young again, as we were. My name is Marjorie Joanne Telasco. I have settled back in Hicksville for some time now.
