I was in Vietnam when this was released in 69 and wondered how anyone could write such a beautiful song with all the death and destruction we were living through but I sure was grateful and still am today. Thank you Tommy James. 👍

Came upon this today! I've always loved this song! It reminds me of my childhood sitting in the back seat of our 64 Impala taking in the beautiful Southern California weather! We'd cruise around with our parents and listen to awesome music such as this one! Times were slower then, and I miss that! ❤

I was 12 the 1st time I heard this song. It was enchanting to me, so beautiful, it just flowed like a cool stream. I still love it to this day. I’m 67 and I come back to it, to listen, to step back in time, to remember that was the beginning of some of the best years of my Life. The late 60’s and 70’s was to me the best In music, some great friends who I remained friends with until they passed. The concerts we went to. You younger people I wished I could have had you in my back pocket so you could have lived it with me💙
