Probably the coolest rivalry in anime, not based on the spectacle of the fights or power ups, it’s because neither of them are 100% right but they still believe they are, and it’s hard to know who to root for. It’s funny watching amuro grow from a tinkering kid to a PTSD ridden super soldier, and char go from frat boy to Vladimir. But in the end they both just want to take a bath together

@@AbahDirgaLv997 Back in the original series both had fallen in love with the same woman. Amuro had sadly killed that woman and Char has never ever forgiven him while Amuro has never ever forgiven Char for bringing said woman onto the battlefield in the first place.

I think it's a bit less the case in The New Translation, but in OG Zeta, I love how they notice each other. They both call out each other's name before they've even consciously recognized the other person. They're both also surprised as what they just said.

I am sorry. But Brad Swaile is always going to be *THE* original voice of Amuro Ray in the English dub. No offense to Matthew Erickson (Amuro Ray in the English dub of Zeta Gundam).
