Well today is my birthday and im getting another copy of the Smallville DVD collection

I have Star Wars and Empire original versions. I do love seeing them and the unaltered stuff is as good as it was..What hooked me on film back in Feb 1978 at my local Odeon

So this is uncut and exactly the same as the German uncut bluray?

I was born after TSMDM started and before TBW, , however I knew my late mum used to watch them, unfortunately I never got around to purchasing them as gifts for her as I had done with previous series she had watched from years ago. Several months ago I was watching clips of classic series on KZbin, and came across both series, of which I liked what I was seeing, so after a little should I or not, finally decided to purchase both Region 1 standard DVD box sets. A couple of months ago I purchased The Bionic book too. Move on a few weeks later, and I decided to purchase the Region A Blu Ray box sets too, of which arrived today. I can honestly say, I have no regrets about purchasing them twice, love the series, and would rather watch series as this from the past, than the rubbish that's made today for TV. Plus I admit that I've developed a crush Richard Anderson.........Oh my mother would have had some fun teasing me on that one!🤣

It's a great documentary. So much better than any of the recent films.

Artistically choosing to make a movie we can’t hear the dialogue in is ridiculous. I stay away from Nolan movies.

I wasn't happy with them. If you use an early DVD player from say 1998-2001..., you may notice all the original scenes from 1977 have a pause In front of them before they play as if they are just inserts. Really pee'd me off at the time as that was when they first released. More modern DVD players don't show the pause as they are smoother and quicker when it comes to changing to different files on the fly.

Came here from Mr Brown's before he went live. Subbed. I bought the Knight Rider DVD box set. For some reason the pilot episode was between episodes 6 and 7. LOL.

I do like the art work it has that retro look with the colours. Its been rerelease on blu ray with the same art work coming out on Aug 05, 2024 (4 Weeks) Not to sure what the difference is All four special editions have been re-edited, restoring scenes and adding material not in the original presentation. Shame it wasn't done in 4k as this is all ready in blu ray so i don't see the point of this re release

I was there at Wal-Mart at the stroke of midnight to grab all 3 of these and each one came with a trade of the original comics for that movie. I love the Special Editions, but I do like having access to the originals (even if they aren't "enhanced for a widescreen television").

I bought these specifically when I found out they were different from the releases in the Trilogy Box, however, they were slightly disappointing as they are 4:3 with largesd black banners and only stereo

I had to make ISO backups of my copies of these, as they've started showing signs of disc rot. Which is very disappointing since I take good care of my home media.

Stunning DVD Boxset of the BEST Superman tv series ever produced! Pity the blu ray box sets nowadays aren't half as impressive as they were in the dvd era. It would be nice to buy it at a good price only for the artwork. I already have all the discs and blu rays.

Could you recommend a DVD player compatible with this collection? Mine plays only the first half since it doesn't support dual layer 😢

Great video review. I own all 5 seasons of the six million dollar man on dvd. To buy them on blu ray will cost me over £200 on hmv website. At the moment the show is being repeated on Legend one of the freeview channels twice a day. 4pm and 8pm

I love the show when I was a kid. Thought the movie was OK.

Getting them was worth it and definitely worth recommending to young generations like myself who saw the special editions

I found these for $20 each 6 or 7 years ago at Easy Street in West Seattle.

I have these. Got them years ago for cheap. And I'll keep them forever because it's the only way to watch the original versions on DVD (too bad they're letterbox). I'd give anything to have widescreen original versions on Blu-ray.
