Dave has the best voice. Does anyone else think that Dave could fill in for James Earl Jones and play Darth Vader?😀

That part at the end of the song Wish You Were Here that David says is supposed to be a kid playing along to the radio at home has always been my favorite part of the song and the part I resonate with the most. Now that I've heard his intention behind it, it makes sense. My own little part in the song it feels like. Pink Floyd will always create, never just produce.

From David A. Wood: I have to forthrightly say without any second, or third, or fourth, or hell even fifth, thoughts whatsoever that the emotionally compelling and entirely majestic "Comfortably Numb" from the 1980 Pink Floyd album "The Wall" is absolutely still my favorite Pink Floyd song! From the first time that I heard "Comfortably Numb" in the Summer of 1986, I immediately fell in Permanent Love with the song. Nuff Said and Peace Out from Kettering, Ohio, everybody. ☮️ 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 😃👋✌️🤗

From David A. Wood: That exquisitely beautiful and eminently unforgettable guitar playing and that elegantly silky and intellectually authoritative "Upper Crust, Anglo-Saxon" voice of his! Those two things are the main reasons why I am still a fan of legendary ex-Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour! Careful with that axe, Dave! Nuff Said and Peace Out from Kettering, Ohio, everybody. ☮️ 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 😃👋✌️🤗

It took me a long time to find this exact interview again... I knew that there was some interview somewhere where David explained which octave single strings were in what position on the acoustic guitar.

Roger Waters contribution as the lyricist should be mentioned. The chord progression and solos are of course really exceptional and nicely described here.

Always loved About Face and agree it’s got that 80s production sound and would actually be incredible with a remix. Not a huge fan at the moment of Luck and Strange but love the track Romany sings and few more listens will maybe change my mind of the album.I do find it strange Gilmour has said it’s his best album since Dark Side when it’s widely known Darkside isn’t his favourite Pink Floyd album….. Keep up the good work and love the channel 😊

The number of times it’s been played ? Across the entire planet ? Publicly & privately ? Beyond calculation. But easily matching, even surpassing, the number of times anyone has listened to, say, the Beatles, CCR, Zeppelin, Hendrix….

Really, where does anyone come up with those figures? I totally disagree with those numbers they are too low for sure, e.g. Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall, Part Two (Official Music Video) alone has 53M views.

You can simplify Rick wrights importance in Pink Floyd by naming one album, The final cut. the only Pink Floyd album with no Rick Wright in it and it was the worst album they ever made and it actually sucks really bad. I call it the wall part 2
