Possibly the best meeting I’ve ever seen. What an incredible track. I wonder what a new track with the same shape as this but as wide as and banked as Belle Vue would be like?

Back here again to say it’s a travesty that the Showground is no more. Probably the best track in the world on its day.

Amazing meeting!!! See the latest news about the stadium. How can ex riders / fans try and help ? Maybe a go fund me etc or something. Also need a plan to make it a multi purpose stadium rugby etc all pull together

Agree. Heat 13 seemed fair start. Sad watching this no Coventry speedway. Lots of people say no passing but I think that’s unfair. Love to see the bees back really hope they do

I only came back to watching this after an absence of over 35 years. Powderhall (the Edinburgh Monarchs) was my thing when I was much younger; I remember the George Hunter memorial meet. Nice vids, I've subscribed :)

Could I use about 20 seconds of this video as an example of what it was like when Coventry track was open ( I believe this is Coventry)> I am doing a video showing the site now derelict and would like a comparison of when it was open.
