wow its amazing this came out yesterday and i just happened to stumble upon it. great performance & special shouts out to that countertenor and to the conductor, he looked like he was actually having fun

This must be so fun to play. Then as a 'clarinettist' I remember a neo-baroque orchestra (or Haydn's!) probably wouldn't be scored for them.

I'm quite late for this video but I was reminded - seeing the scenes of contemporaneous life in L.A. (I'm assuming it's L.A. since I've never been there) - that Beethoven's music is as relevant today as the day it was written. When I played for a living, my favorite gigs were always recording gigs because I felt I was creating something brand new, something that did not exist before, especially since everything I recorded was new material, seldom was it old stuff.
