I played SotN for the first time last week, and from what I understand, there's a stat bonus for beating the intro in certain ways (several that you can't really do the first time since you can't skip the dialogue without a completed save file on-card); under 60 seconds, no damage, not even picking up a subweapon at all is the best-- but Luck Mode overrides that, so no stacking.

i had n64 version of this, it played like the 2001 ps2 version but i miss this series before it became fight night. still holds up today

Yep. Still holds up well today. I think it's deeper than many people realize, too. EA put a lot of time into this one.

Maybe i’m not doing it right, but dark link always seems to hit me even when i do corner trick. It still works better than trying to do it legit tho, only beaten dark link once without it and it honestly felt like pure luck when I did

That's because Nintendo of America really screwed with its hitbox. They took an interesting and balanced fight and made it unnecessarily frustrating.

I didn't even know of this game's existence until decades after its release. The graphics are certainly better than the NES port. It takes a little getting used to but it's actually a pretty solid game.

@@bubufubu That was for the Sega Genesis 16-Bit. After playing 8-Bit Nintendo games for year's. When they released that system it changed everything.

@@asadadon Yeah, it's three years later and on the Genesis. It's probably the best of all the Jordan vs. Bird games. I like the view they give you for the three point contest. The slam dunk contest is kind of cool once you figure out the timing for the dunks.

Thank you for making this. This helped a LOT with round 2 I found out how to get the stars people were getting from the first 30 seconds of the round (For me its always 28 seconds) So thank you. It helped me almost beat him but my game crashed when I got him down 2 times on round 2 with more than 49 seconds :( ,So thank you for making this

@@mikeywoods Since it's your first time playing the game, you shouldn't worry about killing the flea men/hunchbacks while they're still in the air. I recommend that you be patient and wait for them to hit the ground before you whip them.

As far as I know, the only bosses who can be legitimately beaten _without_ using shurikens are Ken Oh (Mission 1) and Masked Ninja (Mission 5).
