I really like how bro in red specifies to bring in that arm, I didn’t get why I couldn’t do it at first but it adds a lot more power to the throw

Thing I struggle with often is I try to hit the sag, then the guy ducks his head out or slips out due to sweat and then they take my back...
@VinOptimaxxx8 күн бұрын
Yeah I might try this out, but it does look like a good way to get your back taken.

Haven’t watched the video but key is making sure they can’t retract their elbow. Super hard to do in motion though with sweat.

The comments have taught me a lot. I am Steve’s age. I have been watching him since around 2001 when I believe he wrestled for Bosco. I am now a white belt, and these comments prove what I suspected. BJJ doesn’t appreciate moves that require explosiveness/violence of action. Not “violence” but violence of action. Violence is injurious. Violence of action is committing to doing something hard enough that resistance will likely be overcome, and if it isn’t you utilize your opponent being knocked of center by immediately doing it or something similar again. I need to dial it way back. If I want to make friends. I am not a terror. That sweep is not a kick. If BJJ guys agree that is a kick, and I want to be a bjj guy, I need to change.
