I’m curious my stock rear half shafts have a lot of side to side movement almost like they have a slip joint. Are they supposed to slide inward and outward like that or are they worn out? I’ve never seen side to side movement like that before.

The CID castings are IMO the best available for the LS. CID even provides "blobs", bare castings w/o seat bores, guide bores, etc to select companies like MBE and BES and they have taken them to the next level. Even without that as an as cast head they're top of the line. The "project spinal tap" done by Ben Strader, which was turning an LS "up to 11" by spinning it over 11,200 RPM consistently was done w inline valve CID heads.

Question, I bought a 2012 CTS-V Coupe and it has a rubbing sound coming from the rear at low speed, only when turning from a dead stop even up to 15 mph. I’ve changed the diff fluid which smelt burnt and had a fine metallic material on the magnetic drain plug. My question is, could that be due to the axles or am I looking at replacing the entire rear differential?

Dude so I installed these and car was fine, after a couple passes I noticed pressure in the radiator after thee car was off for a couple days. And I came across this video. I just got the heads re torqued and they moved quite a bit like yours
