Just wanted to point out that in the lyrics, the word pharons is actually "Pharos"... The lighthouse of my soul in other words: Pharos of Alexandria was an ancient lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world built by Ptolemaic civilization.

I don't expect you to believe this rant, I'm flabbergasted myself, to say the least! But I must pass on what I have learned, and this anonymous forum is fitting, as I am a private person. I'm 49 years old and went on a guided trip 'into the mushroom forest' a couple of months ago. Paid quite a penny to get the best of the best in terms of raw material and guide. What I saw, what I was told through impulses and images... Words can't describe or do justice! I died in 1942 over the Pacific in the Battle of the Coral Reef. I was trying to "protect life", my ship(USS Lexington CV-2), my squadron, all those people aboard. But I did it in a way the universe abhors, by taking life. The Pacific in the early morning hours, so many colours! So beautiful, so so beautiful, and we painted that sky red with blood! I'm a European in this life. Through a friend, I contacted Pentagon Archives. Everything matches up. The stairwells, the briefing rooms, location of boilers, the entire blueprint handwritten by a US Admiral, even the uniform aviator bars, which were later changed in 1946, as I found out. Even the goddamn' ice machines! I know how take-off feels, that moment when the wheels no longer have contact with the aircraft carrier deck. I know that the ice cream was pretty good, and that powdered eggs taste like wet cardboard. I know I flew a Wildcat, not a Dauntless. I know we were so young and scared mixed with adrenalin and arrogance in our own abilities and officer status. I saw how insanely fast the Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighters were! So fast compared to us! I lost my best friend in that dog fight just before I myself crashed into the ocean. His entire upper body engulfed in flames. In this life our paths have crossed again. As we were were in flight school back then, so we met in school as teens in this life. Some bonds are so strong, they refuse to be broken. Never take a sentient life! Never! The impulses showed me why I had to feel a profound sense of loss in this life and live a life of sadness. I had shot down many Japanese planes, I saw the little Japanese women screaming at their front doors as they heard the news of their sons, husbands and brothers being killed in the war. By me. I had no remorse in the air, only cold satisfaction of destroying the enemy. In this life I have tried to protect life, but without doing it in a "bad" way. I am forgiven by the universe and have paid my dues(actually there is never "punishment", it is all a learning experience for our consciousness and memory which we bring back with us across the veil when we die). This song has always stuck with me, now I know why... As a child, my earliest memory is a profound, almost debilitating, sense of loss and the imprinted feeling, that the highest honour is to die in the defense of those who cannot defend themselves. Echoes from the past, I know now. Be good, do good, become good. There are infinite worlds. Many lifeforms are aware of the living breathing universe. Heightened spirituality led them to this discovery. They understand. They got the "Big Bang" theory half right, but what created it was an unfathomable, all-powerful impulse of love. It could no longer contain itself. And a millisecond after love came the desire to create life. Protect Life! Above all else

There are so many beautiful soundtracks. Whether it comes from Hans Zimmer or Alan Silvestri or just a good film with a brilliant soundtrack, what Éric Serra has created here is like a pose for life. In 2 minutes and 34 seconds, this piece ignites sadness, harmony, happiness and heartache all at the same time. No matter how many times I've heard this revelation, at 1:42 all the dams open. Tears flow whether from happiness or sadness, I don't know... The hair stands up to the sky and every single skin cell turns into goosebumps. It's just incredible and I'm immensely grateful to know and experience this beautiful song again and again.

I remember going to see this stupendous movie at the cinema and being totally blown away and completely captivated by every single scene. To me 5th is up there and perhaps beyond the greatness of Star Wars. I went straight out and bought the soundtrack on CD and played this song so much I thought the disc would shrivel!

Este tema es un temazo pero no lo hizo Santaolalla, es de un ponja llamado Ryūichi Sakamoto la cancion se llama Bibo no Aozora. Dejen de regalarle creditos a Santaolalla.
