Hi Mate, I do understand how you think that. However to run something of this scale would cost a bloody fortune. All the support vehicles, personnel, catering and so on. I would love to know what sort of money goes to charity.

Hi Mate, you are 💯 correct. However not all cars get auctioned off. Its your choice if you put you car up for auction unless you fell short in your fundraising then your car goes up for auction to cover the short fall i believe.

@@aussiecarbogan Cheers mate, I went to enter 8 years ago and I wasn't aware you had that choice back then... It's pretty much the reason we didn't go ahead, purely because it would have been nice to keep the vehicle. But now I think of it, probably just as fun finding a new vehicle each year to personalise

@@mountainconstructions look it could be something new they have adopted in recent years as car prices have got more expensive. Im really not sure on that one.
