Hallo Sepp! Schön, euch wieder mal beim "Waldhandwerk" zu sehen. Ich weiß nicht, ob dies euer Privatwald ist, dennoch ist es eine wunderbare Vorstellung, in den Wald zu gehen wann immer man Lust dazu hat, um zu werkeln oder campieren. Sepp, the sod cloth, the 200mm piece of loose cloth around the bottom of the tent is meant to be turned inside the tent, and weighted down with luggage or logs. They used to put sod (cut strips of grass) on it in the old days, hence, the 'sod cloth'. This seals the bottom of the tent from wind. In winter, that sod cloth is put outside the tent, and a layer of snow is put on it, again, to seal the bottom from wind.

That is a beautiful area and you had some great food to eat. The weather may have not been perfect but you always make the best of it and have a good time with friends.
