I think the flights dark after half an hour is so that people can get sleep if they want to! As on long flights even pilots and the rest of the cabin crew need rests I think! And sunstrike could be right too from what some people said! I fly on Korean airlines most times I go to Belgium!

I’m so sorry to hear of your dads passing. I’m glad he got to see my lovely home city even if it was for a brief time! He seems like a top bloke! I love what he said outside Buckingham Palace about the different languages he could hear! Reminded me of my dad, he had always wanted to visit Paris and never gone so I took him there for a long weekend back in 2010, 3 days full on sight seeing in Paris, he died in 2014 shortly after his 81st birthday.

As a former Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft employee at Baginton, Coventry during the years these aircraft were being built I'm very glad they have saved one of the old birds so far away from its birthplace. My thanks to all involved in its preservation.

I did an RAF indulgence flight to Malta from the UK in 1970. It was the slowest, noisiest international flight I’ve ever undertaken!
