Hahahaha Just a fun fact, three of the members of wrote and produced Gayuma, led by Mo with the help of Alas and Taneo, mixed and arranged by music producer Cursebox. Taneo wrote that specific english line Mo sang. 😵‍💫😵‍💫 Also, the main dancers Taneo and Jao also made the choreography for Gayuma. The female lead is AJ of G22, her character was named Techno Babaylan. The pre colonial Babaylan that we know of, is someone who has the ability to mediate with the spirit world, has her own spirit guides, and is given gifts of healing, foretelling, and insight. Also just a fun bit of Babaylan, Babaylans are typically women. There were biological male who are Babaylans but they present themselves as women (they crossdress or act like a woman) whenever they carry out their work as a Babaylan. Women had equal opportunities in leadership during PH pre colonial era, if not more tbh. The Spaniards introduced the idea of patriarchy when they colonized PH. Fuck them colonizers!! Anyways (I strayed far from Babaylans already 😭) unlike her, Techno Babaylan in this Alamat MV controls these men in VR world. It's like she used Gayuma on them, controls them and takes them on another world. The song talked about how enchanting they are, how they're effect on them is almost as if it's otherworldly. They don't care even if people say that they're too crazy for her. In other words, they're nasty down bad for her. 😂 Anyways, Gayuma is my favorite MV of theirs. The thing abt Jao is he doesn't even go to gyms that much, he's just built like that. Unfair 😭 wdym your waist is that tiny and your tummy is so flat just like that?? He had navel piercings during Gayuma era too. And oh Jao helps in styling often. Iirc, Jao helped in styling their outfits for Gayuma wish bus. I'm also glad that you watched the wish bus performance bc it's a special ver. The outro rap Mo did wasn't included in the original track. I hope they included it tho bc it's so good! Also, Taneo's adlibs while Mo doing the outro rap?? Chef’s kiss!! They were actually Aswang slayers! If you look closely at their first clothes, you'll see patterns, markings anting antings (amulet, to protect them from aswang) were infused to their clothings. Aswang is a folklore/mystical creature/monster. There's a lot of kinds of Aswangs. They can be vampire-like creatures just like in the mv but instead of just blood, they suck even flesh and bones hence the lyrics. They were supposed to catch and slay the aswang but they ended up falling in love with the aswang. The song is like “Idc abt what they say, Idc abt your bad reputation. You can eat me up, suck my blood, flesh and bones til I get weak, Idc. Being with you might come with dangers, but I don't care. My love for you won't be annihilated.” Aswang is so good, definitely one of their top tier tracks! Aswang is also the title track of their first EP Pasulong. You know how most male idols hip thrust or just male dancers generally, like they look so cringe and not pleasing to the eyes. Idk maybe I'm just biased but I don't feel like that with Alamat. Alamat's hip thrusts (or what we call 'kaldag' here) are so smooth and sensual but not offensive. It's like they kaldag in the most respectful way. Hahahaha Anyways, I love love your reactions! I'll be staying for more!!
