Thanks for your information! And, BTW, it´s a pleasure to listen to you and to look at you"🤩 Any possible advice how to prevent the slant wrinkles on the kimono front part of sleeves? Ironed on reinforcement of the seam did not help, on the contrary...😱

Love this one! Did you hack the neckline to be higher? Mine comes out quite open and I like the look of it like this better.

I would switch places of the desk and folding table (great idea by the way), so you have daylight while sewing and also can reach those drawers. Other than that- chapeau for the tiny but functional space

I would like recreate Selina Sanders balloon sleeved blouse. She uses tea towel bodice and big puffy sleeves made from a different fabric or an up cycled quilt to for sleeves.

I'm trying to find a pattern ideal to make a drop waist dress in double gauze? This video is probably too old but it can't hurt to try. I'm a novice and finding appropriate patterns is still a bit mysterious for me.

I adore double gauze and bought several yards(!) when I started learning to sew two summers ago. I quickly decided I wasn't ready to tackle it until I learned a lot more. Now I'm ready! I can use my walking foot, make french seams, use seam binding and sew without pulling and stretching my fabrics. I appreciate your tips on stay tape etc. I'll add this to my tool bag as well.

In the 1950’s the Popit pattern was a simple square with self sleeves as part of the top. It is interesting to see them here again as the very same beginner pattern i used. We were still doing embroidery back then, so mine was embroidered with a simple flower on one shoulder. My youngest granddaughter paints designs and pictures on her clothes and jackets. She hates to sew, but is always re-designing her clothes or making costumes for cosplay! Fascinating.

Beautiful dresses. I made this in liberty cotton lawn as a toile. I like the way you did the front wrap whereas I added to the piece and sewed it higher. I might try your way at as it looks lovely. I was always meant to make it again. I’d like to make it a bit longer next time but not fully maxi, just long midi. I’m going now to look at my stash. I love that green fabric so it was a good tip about the threads pulling. Lisa Comfort made a Ravello dress in it. ( from her summer dreaming book)😊

Hi! Very informative video! I am sewing a shirt with double gauze and need an advice. Would you suggest making double or single yoke on the back of the shirt? I like the sandwiched yoke, but am afraid of ending up with bulky back. Thanks in advance! ❤

Great video, so informative with some wonder pattern ideas. I have just received my ‘Think Pink Subscription Box’ from Andrea, beyondthepinkdoor which contained 2.5 meters of great quality double gauze with a leaf pattern. The fabric is white (which drains me) so I’m going to dye it. Thank you so much & will definitely subscribe, now I’ve found your channel. 😊

Don’t know if you are aware jojoba oil added to the wax + rosin makes the fabric easier to manage authentic fabrics are not recommended,, the best is actually linen.
