In Force Awakens, if Rey is the daughter of Han and Leia, she witnesses her brother kill her father. According to canon, she witnessed a guy she just met kill another guy she just met.

All the other padawans at this point would have been training against mostly battle droids due to the war and miss out on their "opponent" training. I'm sure Anakin worried about how she would manage against foes that can think, both in the war and if she managed to survive it. Droids don't teach you how to survive against bounty hunters, Sith, Mandalorians, guards.... he knew the war would cost her her true skills like so many other padawans and he protected her. He used what he had (the clones) to give her all the experience he could. And the clones helped her train, as her brothers. Anakin was trained in peace time. How many Jedi he must have seen fall on Geonosia and at the start of the war when their peace training failed them - being at the transition from padawan to knight at the same transition from peace to war must have really shown him the sheer difference, both in what it takes to survive, but also at the difference in teaching.
