NCB ATMs never have enough money in them. If you lucky to withdraw $100k at one, you will never be able to get that much again, or even close, for the rest of the month. It will give you a threshold, so you end up withdrawing what it says you can, but then it says no, it doesn't have that much and it charges you $500 JM each time you try to withdraw what it says you can. The lower you keep going hoping it will give you the lower amount like a stubborn gambler at the slots, the more the ATM says it doesn't have that much and charges $500 again. Don't even bother try calling customer service, they are only programmed to frustrate you and aggravate you to no end. When they cannot aggravate and frustrate you anymore, then they become apologetic saying "sorry they were not able to do more for you" then bid you farewell. If you try to withdraw a significant portion of money from NCB online or atm, there are all kinds of failsafe limits designed to stop you and aggravate you to no end, ensuring you cannot get your money supposedly for your own protection these failsafe were put in place. If you try to adjust the amount you can take your case is waiting for trial. But let a scammer get their hands on your bank card or scam into your online account and suddenly all failsafe gets lifted to unlimited miraculously and millions of your money disappear within 24 hours. Don't bother calling customer service same rinse repeat as above until they say sorry they could not help you and your hard earned millions puff gone forever! Zero accountability! I have never in all my life seen a bank or any business enterprise operate like this. The customer is never right. The customer always loses. Mr. Lee-Chin is a brilliant man and none of these things I have been reading about are characteristic of this great man. So, either these loses and bad reputation were designed in such a way to get rid of the board and get rid of senior leadership and lots of deadwood to then restructure, rebrand, and revitalize the struggling bank or foreign competitors have bad actors planted to sabotage the entity to dilute the stock price so much that they can force a corporate raid/merger and make a stock price offer to purchase to the shareholders so sweet of an offer they cannot refuse. Which is it?

Kalilah is 100% RIGHT, the Jamaican public including myself have NO confidence in NCB, I would never buy a share or join a bank that has a high number of fraudulent activities reported against it, years passed without dividends being paid and the chairman Michael Lee Chin wants us to believe that he didn't know about it? He is lying, they could hire to best manager in the world it won't mean anything until these fraudulent activities is reduced and they learn to respect and appreciate their clients,

Lady K; I am not sad anymore but really mad. From the "Tom" Adams 1976 through Arthur administrations 2008; Barbados 🇧🇧 fell for that 'Blind Man Bluff' under the guise of being more Caribbean friendly than all the "BIG Three." Jamaica 🇯🇲 , Guyana 🇬🇾 and Trinidad & TOBAGO 🇹🇹 It got so brazing that the T&T government wanted P. M Frundel Stuart to install pipelines from Barbados to Trinidad for refining the oil and natural gas from Barbados and the audacity to demand he pay for the entire project. Mr. Stuart had the good sense to tell the T&T Prime Minister where to get off.

NCB stopped caring about shareholders. They made moves that eroded shareholder confidence and removed any incentive to keep their shares. Do we really see NCB regaining the ground it has lost? It's now trading at sub $50. That's crazy.
@carlrobinson22832 күн бұрын
I sold all my NCB shares when it fell from over $200 per share to less than a $100. I knew right then that something is radically wrong with their business model as well as poor internal controls. I have to be pragmatic, NCB has seen better days and not likely to rebound. Banks like JMMB, Sagicore and the building societies will be dominant financial institutions for the future.

Jamaicans have a Beenie Man attitude when it comes to Trinidad and Tobago, they are always trying to insult T&T so they can feel good about themselves.
